Tim’s Happy Birthday!

Friday, August 26th, 2005

Oops. Sorry no happy hour last week. I was busy having a breakdown.

Better now. Moving on. Also, I’m going to be out of town in the coming weeks. If any of you would like to host a happy hour at your favorite bar, please let me know.

For his birthday, what Tim really wanted was for me to leave him alone for a bit, but, as luck would have it, I decided not to. I heard he really wants a spanking with a big black leather paddle too. Rumor has it he will be at The Toronado (547 Haight) at some point in the evening, so… we will be using the Toronado as a base meeting point for exploring the Lower Haight’s food options, as well as a couple of the other drinking establishments. I know they all suck in comparison to Toronado, but I have to be reminded of that fact every once in a while. I also have to go search down some vodka as Toronado only offers beer. Good beer, but beer all the same.

Come join us – and Tim! I’ll be heading to the area around 6:30. I doubt the evening will find us further then a block away.

So, my first week as a blog and…

Double Happiness!

Wednesday, August 10th, 2005

So last week was a little low key. It involved myself, Scott, a poncho and a double order of Brother In Laws ribs with extra sauce. You know, sometimes you just need to blow off your friends for a double date with the saucy meat and the couch.

But THIS week, we have to make up for it, so we are doing a double happy hour. Better start warming up that liver now.

FIrst… at 5:40 we will be meeting at the 540 club ( For those of you who are already raising protest at the early hour of this happy hour, may I point out that the 540 club has not only cheap happy hour drinks, but free WiFi, and WHO doesn’t like to have a few drinks, wrap up those last few loose ends at work and send drunken emails to their boss on company time. Or their ex. We’ll let you pick that one. Just remember to CC me.

Then, as if that wasn’t enough, we will be heading over to Rohan ( to check out the new owners at 7:30. If you’ve not had a tasty sojo cocktail after a a few martini’s, you’ve obviously not gone to bed missing a large chunk of the evening reeking of crispy tofu. Or maybe you have.

540 Club – 540 Clement St. @ 7th Ave
Rohan Lounge – 3809 Geary Blvd

There will be copious amounts of cheap food along Clement street as well as the tasty Korean food at Rohan.

Afterwards there are several options including live music at Irelands or heading back the the 540 depending on what the theme of the night is…. or…. ?

Crap. What day is it?

OK, so this week was a little nuts. Suddenly it’s 2:30 on friday and I have no idea what’s going on for Happy Hour. No idea. And it’s in like, three hours.

I’m thinking it’s going to have something to do with a big bucket of Brother In Law’s and a movie at the Embassy. Call me if you are interested in a low key meat and greet at my house.

And just for the record, last weeks spot, Red Rock Lounge in Glen Park is a great little spot for those who would like to get out of the city for the evening. Tomi has created several tasty signature drinks including one called The Sunburn that has aloe vera in it. Truly the coolest drink in SF!

And now, somehow, it’s 3:30. I seemed to have lost an hour in the process of trying to write this post.
