A Very Special Happy Hour

Thursday, June 30th, 2005

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we are heading up to see Mike and Bea and their new baby tomorrow and will not be hosting a happy hour. If you reeeeallly want to drink with us, we’ll be on the 5:40 Capital Corridor train to Auburn and they do have a full bar. Come join us!

And for those who couldn’t make it, Catalyst (http://catalystcocktails.tribe.net/), last weeks bar reveled a great little hideaway. Great, creative cocktails, friendly bartenders, tasty snacks and very few other patrons. Probably the best thing about it though was it led us to the discovery of Annies (http://www.urbanlogic.com/annies/annies.htm) Even friendlier bartender, even fewer patrons, AWESOME jukebox and, my personal favorite, they were watching Fast Pussycat at the bar. Yum!

Popcorn for Dinner!

Thursday, June 2nd, 2005

While we’ve been out exploring San Francisco, no one has been
drinking in the Blue Room which makes me sad. Watching Layer-Cake
made me want to re-watch Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking
Barrels. And I just got a new popcorn maker.

All this adds up to Popcorn for Dinner!!

Happy hour this week is going to be a pajama party in the Blue Room
at The Embassy. Pajamas not required but respected. Bring a bottle
of wine or your beverage of choice. For those who can’t, or WON’T do
popcorn for dinner, we can order in.

I will start the popcorn around 6:30 and the movies around 8pm. Let
me know if you will be joining us.
